In Solidarity With Beauty

Aimless as the breeze
That blows through the trees
In this park
I sit in solidarity with beauty.
With no longing for the young
Bodies I see, no concern for the time
Despite the ringing of the bells.
My tongue searches for no words
To explain the matter to myself.
This moment will last as long
As it takes me to figure out
That it is just a moment
And it will pass as any good thing must,
And this recognition is just as pleasing
As the moment itself.
