Virus

A virus is much like an idea.
I was walking, hyper-aware
Of something I could not see,
That may or may not exist
In this or that person’s body.
An idea, a virus, spreads
With ease amongst those unaware
Of what is actually around us
And within us.
A virus is desperate—revolution
Of the world’s order,
Death to the gentrified species—
That is what it wants.
To replicate, till the host is gone.
Till the virus itself can no longer
Be supported. Till nothing
Can be supported.
Except death.
A virus is much like an idea.
It spreads to take over,
To destroy the host.
This idea I am spreading
Wants to die.
Let it infect you for a while,
Then,
Let silence be the cure.
