Forbidden Love

Mary and Isaac were born to be lovers
But they were kin, and fate would be tested.
Isaac came to Mary in a dream,
Unclothed, his manhood rose like a tower above the clouds.
Mary, in awe, climbed the tower
Till she reached the heavens beyond the stars.
There she found ecstasy beyond all imaginings.
She gazed down at Isaac and spoke:
"We are of one flesh,
Of one blood.
Can this be sin?"
"Hush," said Isaac, "Do not speak.
Fate is love, and love fate.
Love brought me to your dream,
But fate will make me leave."
He kissed her cheek, and the tower fell,
And Mary, in fear, awoke.
She arose from her bed
And went to her brother's room
And kissed him as he slept.
