Deliverance

I want to stay with you here,
Nestled in the warmth
Of your lotus-blossom eyes
And the red-velvet sanctuary of your lips.
I want to drip forever
From your moonbeam thighs
Into the pool of oblivion at your feet.
I want to swim upstream
To the place of my birth
Like a salmon whose only unity is desire.
I want to keep the promise
Without asking for deliverance,
And hold my course along your axis
Like the sun--be your light delivered.

Ambitious Soul

Do not doubt the ambitious soul
Who toils in the shadow
Of great and famous men,
For his day too shall come.
And whether by the light of the moon or the sun,
He too will cast a shadow
Over the future to come.
And though the light he kindles
Will surely die,
His voice will echo forever
And his work will not be undone.

Footprints in the Snow

In the still unbroken silence
of the snow-covered road,
My shadow lopes beside me
As I muse.

Unbroken breath
lifts my thoughts
High above
the hazy
grey-blue sky

And my song
falls
like snowflakes
Upon the ears of the dreamers

Who sleep like dormant roses
awaiting the coming spring.

And the harmonious shadows
of the trees
also cannot evade my song,

Nor the footprints I leave
which will lead inevitably
Back home.
